GRC is a composite material made of portland cement, silica sand and reinforced with randomly dispersed alkali-resistant glass fibers and polymer emulsions. The fibers serve a purpose similar to the reinforcing steel in reinforced concrete. The glass fibers add flexural, tensile and impact strength allowing for the production of strong and durable, yet thin and lightweight, cladding architectural panels for all types of buildings.
GRC is material with high initial plasticity that is responsive to designers needs. It can be molded into a variety of sculptured and complex rectilinear and curvilinear shapes. Traditional architectural shapes and intricate ornamental details can be faithfully reproduced, but also complex surface designs or profiles can be cast to suit architect’s requirements. Optimum economy occurs however when reuse of forms is maximized with product repetition. A variety of colors and textures are available, including simulating natural stone, terracotta, and metal.
GRC panels can withstand compressive pressure of 550 kg/cm2
GRC is made up of minerals, which doesn't catches fire
absence of metal reinforcement enables us to cast 10mm thick panels
admixture forms a thin layer on surface which protect from UV rays.
almost any shape, any color, any texture can be given to GRC elements
GRC panels can be designed to act as noise barriers to be used in expressway, room partition
Nav Nirman GRC was started with the purpose to explore the complete range GRC applications and bring innovative architectural solutions with the help of architects. Nav Nirman GRC designs, fabricates & installs its GRC solution on a turnkey basis, working closely with architects, designers, builders and general contractors to develop the most cost-effective approach. Our materials enable architects and designers to incorporate complex or simple elements that lend an exciting dimension to interior and exterior spaces.
